That’s what was ringing through my head this morning.

So here’s what happened…
Last night I invest a few hours banging out a hot new page yesterday…
Including setting up the most advanced tracking I’ve ever setup on my own.
(outside of a enterprise level tracking system I helped with last year… fancy technical words for an 8 figure business I was building.)
and I swear I tested everything in triplicate… and I swear that it all worked as I went to bed last night…
Anticipatory excitement so high that my mind is swimming in dopamine as I fell asleep…
I wake up just 6 hours later… like a kid on Christmas!
Only to wake up to…
—- BOOM —-
The WORST stats I’ve had!
and as I’m now scratching my head… really wondering what the hell is going on…
why are my tracking stats not lining up?…
Could I really just have ruined my stats and made them more than 75% WORSE?
Where are the mountains of “leads” I was expecting?
and then as I’m digging in deeply and re-testing everything…
Contemplating clicking “DELETE THIS PAGE FOREVER”…
and gratefully none of the internal bullshit of, “why the hell am I doing this internet business?“
(because I’m not operating in that frequency… even typing that previous line was hard to do…)
although I’m very hesitant to make rash decisions because everything inside of me is telling me this should’ve been a nice improvement… not a setback.
and it hits me as I simultaneously find myself living in relief, laughter, and frustration all at the same time…
Somehow the damn autoresponder UNHOOKED itself!
What – The – Literal – Tim-Buk-To?!?
lol… now I can either sit here and blame the computer…
or even any outside circumstance like astrology or God…
or I can remember…
everything happens for a reason and a purpose, and is here to serve us…
and this didn’t happen TO me…
this happened FOR me!
(and I’ll share the insights in an upcoming newsletter…)
and I’m telling you right now…
I’m PUMPED UP to see the real data come in over the coming few hours!!!!
Make mistakes quickly… and course correct towards your targets…
Because my other choice was to just not try anything new…
to not setup the new tracking…
to not setup the new page…
to not improve my funnel…
because it is temporarily easier to rest on my laurels and take the “easy road”…
yet hear this quietly and allow it to sink in deeply…
The easy road quickly erodes into the stony streets of hell, just around that bend ahead.
Long term vision always trumps short term ignorance…
